Day 6 and 7: France

Yesterday was our first day in Paris. We encountered our first hostel and it wasn't as bad as we thought except the ventilation is really bad so it kinda smells.  On this day we went to the catacombs which were really cool besides the fact that we had to wait in line over two and a half hours in the sun before going into the depths of Paris. After that we were tired so we went back to the hostel to take a quick break before grabbing some greek food for dinner and going all the way up the Eiffel Tower.
Today, we went to The Louvre and looked at all the fancy art pieces. Lia is a celebrity now apparently because all the asian tour groups wanted to take pictures with her. After Lia finished posing for all the asians, we had a picnic in the Tuileries Garden. Since it wasn't time for our afternoon siesta yet, we ventured to the Sacre-Cœur. Then we traversed back to the hostel for a bit until going to dinner at a vietnamese restaurant. The food was amazing. Tomorrow we will travel to Amsterdam so that should be a blast. Thats all for the past two days!

Days 3, 4, and 5: UK

Sorry about the wait! We have been quite busy the past couple of days! Two days ago we went to a market with Sarah and Jon and walked around for a bit. Discovering we were famished after strolling through all the stalls, we decided to head back into London for a bite to eat, and to go look at the Tate Modern. Sadly, the Tate Modern wasn't as interesting as we thought it was going to be and so we left relatively quickly. After that Sarah and Jon headed home but we decided to keep adventuring through the ominous streets of London. We went on The Eye, saw Big Ben and The English Parlaiment, and even ventured through a Comida Fest, a latin culture celebration with food and margaritas! The next day (day 4), it was raining alot, so we decided to head over to the V&A and Natural History Museums, the V&A being much more interesting than we thought it would be, after which we got lunch, headed back home, got some pizza, and then watched the disappointing England versus Slovakia football match. Today, we went to where Matilda's friend, Lucy, was staying for breakfast, while being told some lovely and memorable stories by Lucy's cousin, which I will remember for a long time. After, we headed back to homebase where we finished packing and headed over to the train station where we are now taking the Eurostar Train to Paris, France, our next destination. Stay tuned for more tomorrow! Hope the North Shore isn't too boring.

Day 2: UK

Today, we went to Buckingham Palace and we watched the changing of the guards. After, we went to Carnaby Street and walked around for a bit. Then we met up with Oscar and had lunch at the Rum Kitchen. After we went to a thrift store where we found a surprising amount of American 90's memorabilia. Then we went to dinner with the rest of the Hollis family at an Indian restaurant. We went to check if the steam fair was open after but apparently it closes before 10. Oh well. Guess we will have to check tomorrow. And the picture with all of our feet is per request of Sarah Grow!

Day 1: UK

We arrived a bit earlier than our flight predicted but then customs took longer than expected so it took us a while to get out. We met up with Matilda's aunt who then drove us to her house where we are staying for the next couple days. We took her dog for a walk and then went through a building in the park and looked at its paintings with her son, Oscar. Later, Matilda and Lia went to the British Museum while I stayed behind with Oscar and watched some football (soccer). We were going to go to a fair but it isnt going to be set up until tomorrow so we just drove around for a bit. Thats all for today!

Day 0: Flying

Just thought I would start off today. So far we got some solid Burger King. Chicken Fries are so good. Well, I can't say much of anything else except for that we are hoping we don't crash and make it to London. See you all on the flip side!
